Drexel Foundation Art Essay Winner Receives Prize of $250.00 TVCC Scholarship
The essay winner Kailey McGourty is a hardworking senior at Vale High School. She is an athlete and one of those students pursuing college-level coursework in addition to her normal course load. She is taking several difficult college courses such as college chemistry, math & advance writing as she is finishing up her senior year at VHS. To write this essay she draws from her personal experiences as a youth. She writes about how Drexel’s certificate of achievement program impacted her personally. “Thanks to the Drexel Foundation, I was inspired to create different film projects and find my take on artistic creativity… The Drexel Foundation has done a great job ensuring that the heart of Vale remains vibrant and glowing with positivity” Kailey writes.
