The Drexel H. Foundation has been proud to work hand in hand with our local schools, grades K-8, for the last 10+ years in the Certificate of Achievement Program. The program rewards outstanding performance in citizenship, scholastic, and artistic achievement with a FREE movie day for the kids. They view prior films made by youth entered into the Drexel Children’s Film Festival. We want our local youth to realize that not just their parents and school system approves of their achievements, but we, the community as a whole, also acknowledge their achievements. Our goal is positive reinforcement, which builds pride in each child. As we honor them, they get free pop, popcorn, and candy. At this event, we also hold a drawing for free backpacks full of art supplies for these students who have earned this outstanding recognition. We can bring this event to your rural school anywhere in Malheur, Grant, Harney, or Baker County, just have your public or private school contact us!
